A Love Letter to Vietnam
Linda grew up with coffee the way most Vietnamese families do — not as a drink, but as a daily ritual. Long evenings with relatives, the slow drip of a phin filter, condensed milk swirling into dark, aromatic coffee while conversations stretched into the night. It was hospitality. It was memory. It was the quiet language of her culture.
Years later, returning to Vietnam as an adult after a long absence, something shifted. Traveling through the Central Highlands — meeting multi-generational farming families, tasting coffees that rivaled the most celebrated origins in the world — she realized the story being told about Vietnamese coffee was not the real one. The depth was there. The craftsmanship was there. The recognition was not.
Triều Đại Coffee was her answer to that gap. Not simply a business, but a platform — for storytelling, for preservation, and for the elevation of Vietnamese specialty coffee on a global stage. It is, in her words, a love letter to a country and a culture she spent years trying to find her way back to.
I founded Triều Đại because I wanted to create a bridge — not only between Vietnam and the specialty coffee world, but between myself and a part of my identity I had spent years trying to reconnect with.
